A PC that powers on — fans spinning, lights glowing — but sends nothing to the monitor is a different problem than a PC that won't turn on at all, and it usually points to the display connection or graphics card rather than the whole system.
Check the monitor itself
Confirm the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source. Try a different cable or a different port on the monitor to rule out a display-side issue.
Confirm you're plugged into the right port
If you have a dedicated graphics card, the monitor cable needs to go into the graphics card, not the motherboard's video output — plugging into the wrong one is a very common mistake.
Reseat the graphics card
Power off, unplug the PC, and firmly reseat the graphics card in its slot, making sure it clicks in and the power cables (if any) are connected.
Try without the graphics card
If your processor has built-in graphics, plug the monitor into the motherboard directly with the graphics card removed. If you get a display, the card itself is likely the problem.
Listen for beep codes
Many motherboards beep in specific patterns to indicate what's wrong. Check your motherboard's manual for what the pattern means if you hear beeping with no display.
If you've confirmed the monitor and cables are fine and still get nothing with the graphics card removed, the issue is likely the motherboard, RAM, or CPU rather than the display path — that's worth a professional diagnosis.
