A full phone doesn't need to mean a new phone — it usually just means ten minutes of cleanup in the right places.
Check what's actually using space
Your phone's storage settings break down usage by category (photos, apps, videos, system data). Start there instead of guessing what to delete.
Back up and offload photos and videos
Photos and videos are usually the single biggest storage user. Back them up to a cloud service or your computer, then remove the local copies once you've confirmed the backup worked.
Clear app caches
Apps — especially social media, streaming, and messaging apps — build up cached data over time that can add up to gigabytes without you noticing. Most phones let you clear this without deleting the app itself.
Remove apps you don't use
Go through your app list sorted by size and uninstall anything you haven't opened in months. You can always reinstall it later if you need it.
Manage downloaded offline media
Downloaded podcasts, music, and offline video for travel are easy to forget about and can quietly eat up a large chunk of storage over time.
If you've cleaned all of this up and you're still constantly running out of space, it may be worth a paid cloud storage tier for photos, or considering a phone with more built-in storage the next time you upgrade.
